Crested Butte Fire & EMS Association & Volunteer Squad

The Fire Division provides fire suppression for structural & wild land fires as well as rescue service for vehicle, structure and water emergencies. The Crested Butte Fire Protection District (CBFPD) protects approximately 250 square miles with some of the most cutting edge equipment available today. There are currently approximately 30 Volunteer Firefighters, Firefighter Applicants in Training and Explorer members.
